As the daughter of Jean Knapp, who had one of the first woman owned real estate agencies in the area and was a leader in the industry, I learned the standards that made her famous: dedication to the client, complete honesty and a creative approach to deal making. I've been in the business for 30 years and have seen a lot of changes but her business ethic still applies!
During my career, I've listed and sold just about every type of property.
From oceanfront estates to mobile homes, from subdivisions to commercial enterprises... I've done it all. The common thread in all of these is understanding the client's goals and then implementing plans to achieve them. What drives me even in challenging markets is the pleasure I take from putting a successful deal together. It's like getting a hole in one!
I'm a member in good standing with the State and National Boards of Realtors. As part of my commitment to my clients and the real estate community, I have served as a Director on the Board of Realtors and the Ethics Committee.
Prior to my real estate career, I was the office administrator and human resource director of a mid-town Manhattan law firm. There I learned to serve many masters, organize, and prioritize my time and bring divergent people to consensus. All of these skills have proven to be a compliment to my real estate experience.
I owned and operated The Jean Knapp Agency in Ogunquit since 1983 during which time I enjoyed a reputation for excellence. As the real estate business changed I realized that I needed to grow to better serve my clients. I chose to affiliate with ReMax Realty One because they exemplify all of my ideals and they have a sales history second to none.
